Allthough the Magnusson-Moss Act has been approved by Congress in the USA, a product manufacturer such as John Deere sells tractors in South Africa prescribing what oil should be used (their own so-called manufacutered oil) at a more expensive price structure than similar American Petroleum Institute (API) classified oils. Therefore is the act applicable to John Deere (as an American Co) in South Africa or not? Interesting!!!!!!!!
